Career Center Staff

Education
She received her B.B.A. in Economics from Valdosta State University in December of 2011, and graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Master of Education in December of 2014. While attending Valdosta State she helped charter the institution’s Phi Beta Lambda chapter and later became the organization’s first President. She was also an active member of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
Biography
Lauren Easom, M. Ed., GCDF, serves as the Executive Director of Student Success & Career Development at Georgia College & State University. With a wealth of experience exceeding ten years in the field of Career Development, she has undertaken a variety of pivotal roles throughout her career journey. In her previous role at the Wyoming Department of Education, Lauren was responsible for the oversight of the state's Career Development initiatives, Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), and Career and Technical Demonstration Project Grant. Additionally, she has a background as an Upward Bound Director and Career Development Specialist under The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. Lauren is deeply passionate about Career Development within the realm of higher education. She recognizes its crucial role in offering students valuable opportunities and experiences that can shape their futures.
Christine Amezquita
Education
Christine earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Northeastern Illinois University and completed her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing – Poetry from Georgia College & State University.
Biography
Christine serves as the Assistant Director for Pre-Professional & Graduate School Planning, where she is dedicated to supporting students in their pursuit of graduate and professional programs. In her current role, Christine coordinate's the Career Center's Career Planning Milestones initiative, and her team also oversees the GC in DC Legislative Internship Program. Prior to that, she worked in Academic Advising and the Bridge Scholars Program at GCSU.

Education
Carolyn graduated from Georgia College & State University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
Biography
Carolyn serves on the Employer Relations and Internship Team as an Internship Coordinator. She provides career advising to help students find success after college. She also creates on-campus opportunities for employers to recruit Georgia College students.

Kayla Goode
Education
Kayla received a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Sociology from Georgia College & State University in 2023.
Biography
Kayla serves in the Career Center’s Pre-Professional and Graduate School Planning team as a Career Development Coordinator I. She helps advise both current students and alumni in career & graduate school planning. She also assists in creating up-to-date resources for students to utilize for career exploration and development.

Sean McGraw
Education
Sean earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Middle Georgia State University in 2017 before returning to earn his Master of Art in Teaching in 2020.
Biography
Sean serves on the Pre-Professional and Graduate School Planning team as a Career Development Coordinator II. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Middle Georgia State University in 2017 before returning to earn his Master of Art in Teaching in 2020. Before joining the Career Center in 2023, he worked in secondary education as an English Language Arts teacher.

Dani received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Gordon State College and completed her Master of Library and Information Science at Valdosta State University.
Biography
Dani serves in the Career Center’s Pre-Professional and Graduate School Planning team as a Career Development Coordinator. She helps advise undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni in career planning. She also helps employers learn more about how they can recruit at Georgia College & State University.

Daniella received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with concentrations in Mass Communication, English, and Psychology from Georgia College in 2019.
Biography
Daniella received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with concentrations in Mass Communication, English, and Psychology from Georgia College in 2019. Previously, Daniella served for two years as a Career Peer Advisor and Employer Relations Assistant in the Career Center. Currently, she serves on the Career Center’s Employer Relations and Internship team and leads the Career Center’s marketing and social media promotion.
Education
I earned my bachelor's degree in composition & music technologies at LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA in 2013 and my master's degree in music composition at The University of Georgia in Athens, GA in 2016.
Biography
I am passionate about student mentorship and development and have been around higher ed for most of my life. Previously, I taught music technology and music composition here at Georgia College & State University from 2016-2021, where I fell in love with Milledgeville. Outside of work, I am a composer and audio engineer. I write and record my own compositions as well as make videos relating to my art. Additionally, I enjoy physical activity and spending time with my dogs and spending time in nature.
